It’s with mixed feelings of excitement, gratitude, disbelief and relief that this landing craft is back up and running, partially in service to provide for the needs of our horses! This is one more example of how much our journey, while our sacrifices have been huge, in so many ways the horses have blessed us beyond measure, without them this opportunity would have never been possible!

We are the proud new owners of a used tractor! Thank you to all of my real estate clients who have made this my best year yet and this purchase possible. Tears of joy would not justifiably summarize how good it feels to know we don’t have to manually buck a few thousand pounds of hay and feed in a day by hand anymore. El Capitan will be able to lift some logs onto the mill, pull my horse trailer, do hay rides, muck and drag our pastures, and so much more, too. Life is good!

We were invited as guests to attend a quail hunt on horseback at Laurel Springs Plantation near our 40 acre conservation easement property in Dale, SC. It was the first time in a long time where we just showed up and our horses were tacked up for us. It was a gorgeous day and we had plenty of action. Thank you to the landowners for your hospitality, we enjoyed absolutely everything. Thanks to Roger Pinckney for the loaned 12 gauge!

The culture, history and heritage that the Marsh Tacky represents belongs to all of us and it should be celebrated by everyone!
