In accordance with our mission statement, our programs are equine-oriented and designed to educate the public about the history, heritage and culture of South Carolina through the story, perspective or lens of the Marsh Tacky.
The quality of our person to person program offerings – whether they are experiential like trail rides and horsemanship lessons, or conceptual like lectures and guided oral tours – are dependent upon the completion of capital facilities improvements to our new location and permanent home, collectively named Selmont Hall. Our breeding, training and sales program hasn’t been interrupted too much during the transitional period of moving from our original location across from Freeport Marina to Selmont Hall, located at 281-294 Old Haig Point Rd.
We are pleased to have recently completed some improvements to our property so that we can offer more programming. However, until we can get our new facilities completed, the vision we have will be narrowed to what we can reasonably host with our current situation. If you would like to contribute to our improvement projects at Selmont Hall or Heritage Field please contact Erica at 843-290-9119.
Continue to check back with us often for updates on new programs and special events as they are announced by connecting with us on Facebook and Instagram too. We are excited to be offering day camps, special events, clinics and much more as our facilities continue to improve.
