Getting Here

Daufuskie Island is the southern most barrier island in the state of South Carolina. Situated between Hilton Head to the north east and Tybee Island, GA to the south, Daufuskie is not accessible by roads from the mainland (and we like it that way). A vast majority of travelers to and from the island will do so by boat. Below are some helpful links to the most popular options for water transportation to the island. We will provide complimentary pick up and drop off to your boat embarkation if you need it and are a day tripper coming to ride with us.

There are several reputable water transportation options to choose from when planning your trip to Daufuskie. As of January 2024, the contract for the Beaufort County subsidized ferry was awarded to Lowcountry Ferry Co. Unfortunately, due to cost, service and safety concerns we are unable to recommend them at this time.

Here are some of the best options that we highly recommend!

Bull River Marina

H20 Water Sports

Hilton Head by Boat

Island Head

May River Excursions

Native Son Adventures

Outside Hilton Head

Prospect Hope
