Polo, Tailgating and Fun…Bluffton Style! The Annual Polo for Charity is coordinated by the Rotary Club of Okatie. This year’s event took place on Sunday, October 22nd. Gates to Rose Hill Equestrian Center open at noon and the match starts at 2PM. If you’ve never been to polo, this is a great family oriented event with loads of fun and equestrian emcees to narrate and educate on all the action. You can reserve a patron slot for your own private party OR just buy general admission tickets and come stake a claim and enjoy the day.
When the Okatie Rotary was first organized, polo gained a major foothold and has continued to this day, thanks to the efforts of the founding Club. In 2010, it was renamed the Okatie Rotary Polo for Charity. The annual event has been responsible for upwards of $250,000 being donated to charity since that time. The addition of a Silent Auction to the event has added to its fundraising capability. This year Daufuskie Marsh Tacky Society was honored to be a charity beneficiary. Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Okatie, Moonstar Advertising, Lang Capital, Rose Hill, May River Oyster Company, Vintage Market, Property Management Pros and all our friends who made our event so unforgettable!
