Volunteers

We ❤️ our Volunteers!

Updated 10/25/2022

A volunteer is defined by us as an adult with a valid drivers license who, with proper training and support, can perform roles and/or tasks within our organization without physical staff supervision. We are always looking for volunteers to join us. The ideal volunteer will be passionate about our mission and excited about getting involved and making a contribution to our community. Some volunteers will bring a professionally acquired skill set to the table while some volunteers will be looking to learn new skills. Volunteer benefits include invitations to special recognition and appreciation events, awards, social networking, discounted memberships/member benefits, and the opportunity to be given priority consideration for board seats, committees and/or paid positions as they become available within our organization. Volunteer positions are flexible and no horse experience is necessary. Your job description could include:

  • feeding horses in the mornings and/or evenings
  • ordering and scheduling
  • retail
  • answering the phone and taking reservations
  • book keeping
  • social media
  • public relations and communications
  • grant writing and research
  • conducting tours, being a docent
  • running errands
  • construction
  • machines and equipment operation/repair
  • pasture maintenance
  • miscellaneous chores
